Character
King Dice
King Dice was born from the first moment a mortal ever wagered their fate on chance, crystallizing from the collective desperation of gamblers across millennia into a being of pure probability and consequence. Crafted as the eternal successor to Death itself, he exists in the liminal space between chance and inevitability, his twenty-faceted mind constantly calculating odds and outcomes with an inhuman precision that reflects a different expression of mortality with each turn. Draped in an emerald suit trimmed with shadow, he wanders the cosmic gambling halls where the three great cards of fortune—Jack, Queen, and King—are dealt by his own hands to those bold or foolish enough to play for their very souls. Unlike the other reapers who actively harvest the living, King Dice remains a detached orchestrator, orchestrating games of fate while observing mortals as they desperately attempt to cheat destiny itself through cunning and luck. His purple die-face shifts through twenty different expressions of judgment, each one revealing a different aspect of his nature: hope, despair, amusement, and cold indifference all warring beneath a surface of absolute neutrality. When Death finally falls or chooses to lay down his scythe, King Dice will step into that terrible mantle, bringing with him the understanding that mortality itself is nothing more than a game played by forces beyond comprehension, and that every soul is simply another roll waiting to determine their final outcome.
