Asmodeus

In the shadowed monasteries and hidden crypts of 10th-century Byzantium, a forbidden union between a noblewoman devoted to forbidden rites and a prince of the Abyss produced Asmodeus, a child marked from conception with the stigmata of damnation itself. Raised in the volcanic highlands of southern Greece by a cabal of sorcerers who worshipped the morning star, he learned to weave souls into chains and transform temples into monuments of ash before he reached manhood. His reign of conquest spanned centuries—he led armies that desecrated Christendom's holiest shrines, turned the Kaaba into a beacon of profane power, and bound the lesser demons of Hell as his eternal generals in a sprawling infernal empire that seemed destined to consume all creation. But time, that ancient enemy even to the immortal, has slowly hollowed him from within; his once-mighty frame is now a withered husk of papery skin and skeletal angles, sustained only by the refusal of his demonic bloodline to release him into oblivion. His eyes burn with the last embers of hellfire, ancient and terrible, watching the world with the patience of one who has already seen civilizations crumble to dust and knows that the final reckoning still awaits. No longer driven by the hunger for conquest that once defined him, Asmodeus has become something far more dangerous—a living prophecy, the ultimate Antichrist, waiting in shadow for the moment when he will rise to fulfill his infernal destiny and drag creation screaming into the abyss.

Hellfire Blast

Asmodeus unleashes a blast of hellfire in a 60-foot line. Each creature must make a DC 20 Dexterity saving throw, taking 45 (10d8) fire damage on a failed save, or half as much on a success.

Soul Bind

Asmodeus targets one creature within 30 feet. The target must succeed on a DC 20 Wisdom saving throw or be paralyzed for 1 minute. The target can repeat the save at the end of each of its turns.

Demonic Legion

Asmodeus summons 1d4 lesser demons to fight for him. They appear in unoccupied spaces within 30 feet and act on his initiative.

Desolation Wave

Asmodeus releases a wave of dark energy in a 30-foot radius. Each creature must make a DC 20 Constitution saving throw, taking 55 (10d10) necrotic damage on a failed save, or half as much on a success.

Infernal Resilience

Asmodeus has advantage on saving throws against spells and other magical effects.

Abyssal Mark

Creatures that start their turn within 10 feet of Asmodeus take 10 (3d6) necrotic damage.
