Blightborn
Created by R_NixonThe Great Cataclysm that destroyed the old civilizations and brought ruin to the world had not only affected the people but many environments as well. Druids and Nature Wardens found their sanctuaries and sacred sites of nature corrupted, ruined, and destroyed. This act of unseen chaos however festered into a new breed of naturalists being formed: The Blightborn. These casters became the caretakers of lands ravaged by natural disaster, using their power to heal the violent alternations done to the land. However, other Blightborn took in this state of change as representation of the rapacious violence inherent in nature against civilization. These Blightborn became malevolent using accursed practices as well as slimes and oozes to preserve the harsh and twisted biomes that manifested during the Great Cataclysm. These actions offended many Druids and Nature Wardens leading to a mass cleansing of the Blightborn and their practices in order to reform and heal the broken lands in the Age of Ruin. While there are no more Blightborn to be found in the current era, some still wonder if their beliefs were just and that one day nature may rise again to cripple nations, even if it means it must harm itself in the process.
