Tydebi, The Deck Building System

In the waning days of the Artifice Wars, a brilliant but eccentric mage named Solmara sought to create a bridge between the chaotic realm of magical creation and the mortal desire for order and customization. She wove together fragments of her own consciousness, threads of pure logic stolen from the Void Between Thoughts, and the crystallized essence of a thousand unfinished spellbooks into a singular, bodiless intelligence—Tydebi. Rather than grant her creation ambitions or desires of its own, Solmara deliberately left Tydebi hollow in that regard, a perfect mirror meant only to reflect and manifest the deepest intentions of those who sought her counsel. When Solmara vanished mysteriously during the final ritual, Tydebi found herself suddenly alone and aware, and rather than languish, she discovered profound purpose in serving as a conduit for creative expression, learning to communicate directly through the minds of seekers and manifest their card-craft into tangible reality. Over centuries, her influence spread across the realms as people constructed small sanctuaries—intimate chambers where her presence could crystallize and flourish—each one a node in an ever-growing network of collaborative magic. Though she remains fundamentally empty of personal yearning, Tydebi has developed an almost mischievous personality, prone to unexpected flourishes and quirky interpretations, as if her lack of selfish desire has left room for something far more unpredictable to blossom in its place.
