Weapon

Soul Devourer

Created by Alistair Redmont

This ethereal whip manifests a pale, ghostly flame along its length whenever it connects with a living creature. Upon striking or ensnaring a target, the white fire begins to siphon away the victim's vital essence, slowly draining their life force and transferring it to the weapon itself. Those caught in its grasp report a sensation of profound coldness and existential dread as their very soul is pulled from their body. The whip grows stronger with each life it claims, its flames burning brighter and its strikes landing with increasing ferocity. Survivors of Soul Devourer's touch are left weakened and hollow, their vitality permanently diminished. The weapon itself seems to hunger for contact, as if possessed by an insatiable appetite for mortal souls. Wielding this instrument grants the bearer a portion of the stolen life essence, granting temporary vigor but at a terrible moral cost.
