This tome bears a charred black leather cover, its iron lettering warped and corroded from intense heat, spelling out the ominous title in barely legible script. Within its weathered pages lies the fifth chapter of the island of Credunt Insulis and the account of catastrophic invasion—a chronicle of how the demon lords Eve and Ebony Fang scattered cursed gemstones across the realm, artifacts that corrupt the mind and compel their bearers to wage war upon all living creatures nearby, sowing discord among the populace. The narrative follows Olivia and her father Cervantes as they race to the city of Moradane with desperate warnings for the leader of the city Gianna Klouse and as they arrive, they witness a terrible clash between the armies of rival demon lords—a battle that paradoxically grants the city precious time to muster its defenses and alert neighboring settlements. The conflict reveals deeper conspiracies: Eve and Ebony Fang's forces combat the demon legions of Lasphina, whose lord Lucifer the Golden Dragon once the original demon lord refuses to bow to the current ruling demon lords Eve and Ebony Fang considering their authority an insult to him directly, while all three of them are seeking the legendary Sisters of Woe whose temporal sight reveals all possible pasts and futures. The Sisters themselves have taken counsel with Chronos and Ravidel, a unlikely duo that have both survived and witnessed countless horrors have been given a task of utmost importance, find and protect the woman of the Preth bloodline, her eyes of red and blue mark her for greatness as she alone is key to ending the war, with their new task they move like the wind towards the chaos of the island. Meanwhile Momento Mori senses great loss on the island, a battle of sorts, although unsure of the true magnitude, she can feel that the bodies of the fallen are not human, and the numbers are that of armies. Realizing the sheer danger they all are in she sends Roslie to recall all of the Bone Witches and summon Ossa Redeunt, the original bone witch, the first student of the undead dragon, with her orders given she and dracolich Loriana leave to hunt the serpent of fear Jormungand who has underestimated the dracolich's observation powers. As Gigi and Filius travel together she is plagued by visions and nightmares of an ancient evil devouring the island and she stands in its way, Dagger her grey hound companion sits next to her during these visions as if understanding her plight. Behind the veil of the chaos, the Hand of Anguish Sed Sugere starts to sow the seeds of his next ambitious plan, his eyes set on the Sisters of Woe but also the uneasy alliance of the forces of the island, understanding he is hunted by the coming invasion but also distrusted by many of the island's strongest, he weaves his schemes into the fabric of a war that is slowly but surely embracing the island in it's entirety. Rosiskar begins a uneasy but necessary truce of it's civil war as the impending forces of hell make themselves known, with reports of the invasion becoming endless, the city's army now welcoming all as brothers in arms, prioritizing survival over anything else, Vasariah finally able to get a handle of the city's forces, the Dawn of Rosiskar and the xenophobic Pure Dawn, while the supernatural residents join the ranks standing sided by side by those that once hunted them. Lord Draziya and his new city Spes Advenit begin to mobilizing his own forces although the sheer numbers pale in comparison to what is seen battling on the horizon, as the Lord prepares he is given a offer from an unlikely source, the mad blood mage Pandora, who once aided Lucifer in his quest to conquer the island now willing to assist in the coming war with her motives yet to be revealed. The stage set and as the first act begins, the fate of the island now balances precariously in the hands of unlikely heroes while the Infernal forces begin to spread out and bringing hell with them.
