Lord Bako — The Warthog Chief

Born during a catastrophic drought that nearly extinguished his entire lineage, Lord Bako clawed his way from the dust-choked wastelands to become the most formidable leader the Iron-Tusk Clan had ever known, earning his title not through inheritance but through an audacious challenge where he out-bellowed and out-charged three rival contenders in a single afternoon. His friendship with Jabari began when the two were merely scrappy youths, having saved each other from a pride of lions by creating such an ear-splitting cacophony that the predators fled in confusion, a bond forged in chaos that has never wavered. Bako's reputation as a fierce protector of his herd is only matched by his legendary stubbornness—a trait that has led to more than one heated dispute with the neighboring buffalo clans, disputes which inevitably pull him into conflicts he never sought but always charges into with reckless enthusiasm. His subjects adore him equally for his booming laugh and his willingness to stand against impossible odds, though his advisors have learned to brace themselves whenever Jabari appears at the clan's borders, knowing that whatever trouble follows will test Bako's courage and his patience in equal measure.
