Iago Malister

Iago is headmaster of the Academy of Aquarius. Born into a nobel family, Iago caries himself with pride and gusto. Before becoming the headmaster, Iago was an infamous aquatic archeologist, which surprised his teachers as he wasn't a very good student but was cunning enough to pass. Due to Iqgo's lack of study, his career had a rocky start. Yet on one fateful day, he discovered an ancient relic on a deep sea dig that changed his life. He could sense something was strange about the relic, as if the item was calling to him, corrupting his morals and better judgement. But the longer he looked at it, the stronger the grasp it had on his psyche. As he picked it up, he was immediately transported to the Abyssal realm and met by the diety Mammon. Looking for a champion, Mammon convinced Iago to serve with promises of success and riches. Iago agreed, and not long after, he became the most renowned archeologist of Hyperion, quickly earning his title of headmaster. Many of the artifacts located in the Museum of the Deep are discoveries of Iago. Now, Iago guards his dark secret, keeping the Mammon relic locked away in his chambers, only to be used in rituals of sacrifice to the deity he serves. His outward persona of prestige and privilege masks the corrupted soul that lurks within.
