Everything changed the night the research facility underneath the city exploded in a catastrophic cascade of containment failures. Lucas watched the world crumble from his suburban ranch helpless as the infected transformed into grotesque parodies of humanity—their bodies warping and twisting into monstrous forms driven by primal rage.
