This ominous playing card bears a deep black border and features an illustration of a once-magnificent longsword broken cleanly in two upon its face. The reverse side is entirely black, unmarked and featureless. When drawn from the Deck of Thirteen Seals, this card's curse immediately manifests upon the bearer, inflicting a terrible price for their misfortune. The wielder suffers a permanent -8 penalty to all melee attack rolls, ranged attack rolls, and spell attack rolls, making even the simplest combat maneuvers extraordinarily difficult. Additionally, both their Strength and Dexterity ability scores are reduced by 1, weakening their physical prowess and coordination. These ability score reductions persist until magically restored through means such as a greater restoration spell or similar powerful magic.
