Bolas Ulta

Born into privilege as the youngest son of Zanes, Bolas Ulta was groomed from birth to become a spiritual authority within the church, a destiny that seemed both blessing and curse when arcane energy first manifested in his small hands at age five—a terrifying discovery he has kept locked away in the deepest chambers of his heart for over two decades. Recognizing immediately that his gift would mark him for death under his mother's zealous doctrine, he learned to suppress his powers entirely, channeling his natural inclination toward compassion into his role as Grand Cleric, where he preaches the radical virtues of redemption and forgiveness to a congregation hungry for blood. His refusal to participate in the systematic execution of magic users has earned him reputation as a merciful voice within the church hierarchy, yet this very mercy masks a desperate internal conflict—each sermon on forgiveness becomes a silent prayer for his own absolution. Trapped between his family's expectations and the gnawing awareness that his untrained abilities could flourish into something extraordinary, Bolas has spent years gathering information about Sanctuary, that legendary refuge whispered about only in shadows and forbidden texts. The weight of his deception grows heavier with each passing season, and he knows that discovery by his mother would mean not redemption, but the executioner's pyre; thus he watches and waits for the perfect moment to abandon his gilded cage and flee toward the only place where he might finally become whole.
