Character
Elara Voss
Created by XanaSnacksBorn to a human scholar and an elven stargazer in the shadow of the Lumenspire towers, Elara inherited her mother's gift for reading the celestial language and her father's obsessive need to document forgotten knowledge. When she was merely a century old, a catastrophic magical surge during her initiation ceremony left her partially attuned to the Astral Rift itself, granting her an uncanny sensitivity to planar disturbances that others could barely perceive. This near-fatal accident, rather than deterring her, became the catalyst for her life's work—she spent decades studying fragmented texts and corrupted archives, piecing together accounts of the Shattering from civilizations long turned to dust. Her methodical approach and genuine compassion for those harmed by magical instability earned her respect among the Academy's hierarchy, eventually securing her position as Archmagister despite her relative youth by elven standards. When the Star Shards began their ominous awakening, Elara recognized the patterns immediately and became convinced that these artifacts were not instruments of power but harbingers of a far greater cosmic realignment. Driven by equal parts scientific curiosity and moral conviction, she has dedicated herself to understanding the intricate web connecting the Shards, the Rift, and the enigmatic Herald, believing that knowledge and restraint offer humanity's only hope against the approaching Convergence.
