Biography
Grimelda was once a radiant woman beloved by her community, a devoted mother of three who spent her days tending her garden and her evenings reading bedtime stories to her children, until the night of All Hallows' Eve when a traveling crone arrived at her door seeking shelter from a terrible storm. When Grimelda turned the old woman away with cruel words, believing her to be a charlatan begging for scraps, the stranger's eyes blazed with ancient fury and she spoke a binding incantation that shattered Grimelda's very essence. By dawn, Grimelda's beauty had curdled into something terrible and otherworldly—her skin took on a sickly pallor, her fingers grew long and gnarled, and most horrifying of all, an insatiable hunger for dark magic consumed her mind, twisting her maternal love into something sinister and corrupting. Now she stalks the nights seeking out other mothers, whispering honeyed promises and forbidden knowledge, gradually luring them into her coven where she transforms them one by one into twisted versions of themselves, binding them to her will through profane rituals. Grimelda has come to believe that motherhood itself is a cage, and that by converting these women into practitioners of chaos and malevolence, she is somehow freeing them from their bonds. She moves through the shadows like a specter, her laughter echoing through the autumn air, forever cursed and forever cursing others, a cautionary tale of how one act of cruelty can birth an eternity of wickedness.
