Fyeinok

Fyeinok is the last surviving member of the Kethrani—a towering race of giants whose civilization was methodically hunted to extinction over the course of three centuries by fearful kingdoms who mistook their size for savagery. Orphaned at birth and raised by a Dwarven merchant who found him abandoned in the Obsidian Wastes, Fyeinok learned to read, calculate, and negotiate before he learned to walk, developing a sharp mind trapped within a body that made every door a challenge and every handshake a potential threat. He spent his formative years as a mercenary and tracker, selling his considerable skills with rifle and spear to whoever paid the highest price, accumulating wealth while his employers accumulated corpses, all while adorning himself with turquoise and gold—the only beauty he could wear without breaking it. The bone piercings and intricate tattoos that cover his massive frame tell stories of contracts fulfilled, rare hunts completed, and enemies vanquished, each marking a transaction in the ledger of his life. Now, settled into a comfortable existence as a pen trader dealing in rare goods and black-market contraband, he maintains his neutrality in a world that has learned to fear him less and respect him more, content to spend his evenings in taverns where his genuine charm—so incongruous with his monstrous appearance—slowly wins over those brave enough to approach him. Though he claims to want nothing more than coin, ale, and companionship, those few who know him well suspect that Fyeinok's true treasure is far more intangible: the simple human dignity of being seen as something other than a monster.
