Biography
Copper wasn't always mad—he was merely brilliant, a prodigy chemist whose academic career ended the moment he witnessed his mentor's death from a degenerative disease that medicine couldn't touch, a moment that crystallized his singular purpose: death itself would become his enemy, not his fate. He abandoned his university position and legitimate research to pursue forbidden knowledge, descending into the criminal underworld where black-market alchemists and street chemists became his unlikely colleagues, each transaction bringing him closer to compounds that shouldn't exist and wouldn't be synthesized through lawful channels. His methodology became increasingly radical as conventional approaches yielded nothing—he began testing his experimental serums directly into his heart muscle, believing that maximum velocity through the bloodstream would accelerate his discoveries and bypass the body's natural defenses against transformation. Years of self-experimentation have left his physiology warped and unpredictable, his mind fractured into brilliant insight and incomprehensible rambling, yet he remains perfectly indifferent to the devastation surrounding him—the corpses of failed test subjects, the crime syndicates he's crossed, the families destroyed by the substances he's weaponized accidentally. Copper views the entire world as a laboratory and himself as the only worthy experiment, driven not by malice or ideology but by an almost mathematical certainty that immortality is simply another puzzle waiting for the correct solution, no matter how many bodies pile up along the way.
