During a catastrophic experiment in a volcanic cavern, he attempted to bind pure malevolence into a crystalline matrix, but the spell inverted catastrophically, transforming his body into a grotesque floating sphere of searing crimson flesh that perpetually radiates heat and bitterness. The jagged stones that erupted from his back are fragments of the failed ritual circle, now fused to his hide as a constant reminder of his hubris, while his single unblinking eye—which weeps a caustic fluid—sees the world only through a lens of profound resentment.
