Dracolich Loriana In The Face Of Fear

Loriana was not always a creature of draconic fury and undeath. Once, she walked among mortals as a bone witch, wielding dark magic to commune with death itself and bend the will of the departed to her purposes. Her hunger for power consumed her, and when the demonlord Sed Sugere emerged from the abyss with an unholy bargain—transformation into something greater, something eternal—she seized the opportunity without hesitation. The ritual that followed stripped away her mortal flesh and rebuilt her as a dracolich, a fusion of her sorcerous will and draconic might. She returned to her master, not as a student but as an equal however Momento Mori questioned Loriana's intentions with her new transformation, an uneasy tension lingered as they work together hunting Jormungandr. When the Serpent of fear Jormungandr threatened to consume Vale Peak in a haze of chaos and terror, Loriana and Momento Mori pursued it across desolate wastes and through treacherous mountain passes, their coordinated sorcery a maelstrom of destruction that even the ancient serpent could not withstand. Victory seemed assured as Jormungandr's scales cracked and its strength waned, but fate intervened with cruel indifference when Momento Mori abandoned the killing blow to defend the city of Moradane from demonic invasion. Loriana pressed forward alone, her magic burning with renewed intensity, yet the serpent rallied with savage cunning, recognizing that a single dracolich, however formidable, could be overcome through sheer desperation. In that terrible solitude, as the mountains trembled beneath their titanic struggle and reality itself fractured from the force of their conflict, Loriana understood that some battles demanded the ultimate sacrifice. She has died before for the greater good, and she would do so again if it meant saving the world from darkness.
