Biography

Born into Venetian nobility during the Renaissance, the man who would become the Mad Aristocrat was a prodigious natural philosopher obsessed with unlocking the secrets of mortality itself, viewing death as merely another puzzle to be solved through rigorous experimentation and alchemical innovation. When his beloved mentor succumbed to plague in 1623, he abandoned his birth name and family title entirely, severing all ties to his former life and retreating into hidden laboratories scattered across Europe's forgotten places, driven by a singular obsession to resurrect not his mentor, but himself—eternally. Over the following century, he discovered that human vitality possessed a peculiar resonance when distilled through suffering, and that the moment between life and death held extraordinary biochemical properties he could weaponize through his eight-needle apparatus, a contraption he spent decades perfecting in agonizing solitude. His methodology evolved from desperate experimentation into cold precision: he cultivated networks of accomplices in high society, moving seamlessly through aristocratic circles while identifying those whose absence would go unnoticed, all the while refining his elixirs with the meticulous care of a master vintner. What began as a philosophical pursuit of immortality transformed into something far darker—a predatory calculus where human beings became nothing more than rare ingredients, their unique essences catalogued and harvested like exotic spices for his ever-growing collection. Now, more monster than man, he maintains the refined manners and intellectual pretense of his former station as a grotesque mask, using charm and cunning to lure new victims into his sphere while his withered body perpetually teeters on the edge of collapse, requiring increasingly frequent infusions to maintain the illusion of vitality.
