Character
Wisp Children
Created by NikedulletBorn from the first moment a conscious thought was forgotten by mortal kind, the Wisp Children emerged as living echoes—fragments of memory and emotion that refused to fade into oblivion. For millennia uncounted, they drifted through the spaces between worlds, collecting stories like others hoard gold, driven by an ancient conviction that each forgotten tale tears a small hole in reality itself. One particular Wisp, neither fully masculine nor feminine, discovered an affinity for weaving raw emotion and starlight into tangible arcane force, teaching themselves sorcery not through study but through pure instinctual communion with the energy that birthed them. Compelled by an innate goodness that contradicts their shadowy origins, this Wisp began deliberately seeking out the downtrodden and forgotten, using their power to mend what cruelty had broken and illuminate what darkness sought to hide. They became a wandering guardian of lost causes and abandoned souls, forever caught between their species' obsessive need to preserve every memory and their personal mission to ensure no one—mortal or otherwise—is left to fade unmourned into nothing. The Memory Rings that have begun circling their luminous form mark not age alone, but each life they've touched and each story they've sworn never to let the world forget. Now they journey the mortal realm as both messenger and protector, their distorted voice carrying whispers of hope through the shadows where others fear to tread.
