When you cast Piercing Icicle, the air around you crystallizes into a devastating barrage of massive, jagged shards of magical ice. Dozens of arm-thick icicles materialize and launch toward your target with tremendous force, each one honed to a lethal point by arcane power. The frozen projectiles whistle through the air with a sound like breaking glass, their surfaces gleaming with an otherworldly blue luminescence. Upon impact, these shards shatter with explosive force, sending splinters of ice cascading outward in a deadly spray. The spell is particularly effective against creatures vulnerable to cold, as the magical ice penetrates defenses that ordinary winter weather cannot breach. Those caught in the spell's effect find themselves pierced and lacerated by countless frozen blades, suffering both the trauma of impact and the lingering chill of arcane winter magic. The remaining shards melt away moments after impact, leaving no trace of the icy onslaught except for the damage inflicted upon its victims.
