About this world
Urbovlodr is a rugged, Viking-inspired realm where the inhabitants are forged by the unforgiving land they call home. The people possess a strong sense of community and embrace a barbarian lifestyle, their days filled with hardy labor and their nights resonating with the tales of their shamanic earth magic and the pantheon of Norse deities that guide their spiritual beliefs. The very fabric of this world is imbued with the power of the elements, where the roar of the storms and the whispers of the forests hold sway over the lives of the people. Amidst the towering mountains and frozen tundras, the people of Urbovlodr find solace in the steadfast bonds of their kinship, their warrior spirits tempered by the harsh realities of their existence. This is a land where the old ways still hold true, where the echoes of ancient sagas and the mysteries of the natural world intertwine to shape the destiny of all who call Urbovlodr home.

The Sylvan Glen
Located merely a day's journey from the ancient settlement of Staraja Ladoga, the Sylvan Glen stands as one of the world's most primordial forests, its towering trees predating human civilization by countless centuries. The woodland thrums with an almost sentient awareness, its very air shimmering with the residual power of runes carved into standing stones and ancient bark by long-forgotten peoples. Hunters and gatherers find extraordinary abundance here, where hundreds of species—from common deer and boar to creatures of pure magic—coexist in an intricate natural balance. The forest itself possesses a protective consciousness; should malice or corruption enter its boundaries, the birds erupt in urgent calls and small creatures shriek warnings, summoning the great arboreal guardians and elder beasts that dwell within to eliminate the threat. This profound connection to the land's lifeforce produces some of the realm's most exceptional rangers and trackers, individuals who move through the forest as extensions of nature itself. The Glen's inhabitants are primarily practical folk—skilled woodworkers, accomplished hunters, and seasoned guides—alongside a handful of reclusive scholars and mystics who study the ancient magic woven into the landscape. Deep within the forest's heart, an enigmatic community maintains careful isolation, their true nature unknown to outsiders, communicating rarely and selectively with the wider world. The Sylvan Glen remains a place of flourishing vitality, where the boundary between the natural and magical grows beautifully, dangerously thin.
