Stone Valgaries

Stone Valgaries was among the first to volunteer when the Queen's Court faced an impossible choice: watch their greatest warriors fade into the void of death, or bind their souls eternally within sculpted stone. Once a commander of the realm's most formidable regiment, Stone Valgaries surrendered her flesh willingly, allowing master artisans to carve her likeness with meticulous precision—capturing not just her fearsome visage and battle-worn frame, but the very essence of her unwavering spirit. Now, as one of 552 sentient statues standing eternal vigil throughout the castle's halls and chambers, she experiences an existence neither alive nor dead, her consciousness fully aware within her marble prison, her will as sharp as the day she drew her last mortal breath. The transformation stripped away nothing of her ferocity; if anything, the stone has made her more formidable, invulnerable to the ravages of time and conventional harm. Stone Valgaries and her sisters form an unbreakable phalanx, each statue a unique memorial to the woman it houses, each one a monument to sacrifice and loyalty. They are the Queen's most ruthless defenders, ready to animate at a moment's notice, their stone limbs capable of delivering devastating blows that no living enemy could withstand. In the cold silence of the castle, Stone Valgaries stands eternal watch, her carved eyes forever fixed on the threats beyond, a guardian transformed into living legend.
