Augur Expious was once a humble priest of the Sorusfx empire who spent decades in selfless prayer and devotion, believing that ultimate sacrifice of the flesh would bring him closer to divine truth. The gods, moved by his unwavering faith, granted him a terrible gift—the ability to perceive all possible futures and an immortal frame to witness them, yet they withheld the mercy of eternal youth, allowing his body to wither like autumn leaves while his mind remained agonizingly aware. As centuries passed and visions of countless timelines fractured his consciousness, Expious discovered that his gaze itself had become a weapon of catastrophic power, capable of unraveling the very essence of any living being foolish enough to meet his eyes. The empire he once served eventually recognized that their saint had become something far more dangerous than any external threat, a walking conduit of divine wrath whose madness grew deeper with each century of decay. Now his skeletal form lies imprisoned in the cathedral's deepest chamber, bound by chains of blessed silver and silenced by prayers, where only the high priests dare approach to seek counsel from the tortured oracle within. They come seeking glimpses of tomorrow, never knowing that each prophecy Expious utters costs him another fragment of his already shattered sanity, pushing him further toward the abyss.

Prophetic Whisper

As a bonus action, Expious can grant an ally within 30 ft. advantage on their next attack roll or saving throw. This ability can be used three times per long rest.

Chains of Silence

Expious can cast Silence centered on himself as an action. This ability can be used once per short rest.

Divine Madness

Augur Expious's mind is fractured, granting him advantage on saving throws against being charmed or frightened.

Foresight

Once per long rest, he can reroll any failed saving throw, taking the new result.
