Lord Oblivion, The Forgotten

Created by Notwen Ekim

In his mortal life, the man who would become Lord Oblivion stood as the realm's greatest military champion, a paladin whose sword arm seemed blessed by the gods themselves. Campaign after campaign fell before his unstoppable will, and crowds gathered in streets to sing his name as he paraded through villages in gleaming armor. Yet beneath the accolades and laurels, a cancer of pride had taken root—he began to see his victories as proof of his own divine superiority rather than gifts from the heavens. When a single catastrophic defeat shattered his winning streak, the paladin could not accept it as a lesson in humility. Instead, he spiraled into a madness of vindication, treating his soldiers as expendable pieces in a chess game of redemption, sending wave after wave into slaughter to restore his tarnished reputation. The people watched in horror as their hero became a tyrant, and when he finally fell in battle years later, they did not mourn—they erased him. His name was struck from records, his deeds rewritten as atrocities, and even his burial was attended by strangers and the indifferent. But oblivion itself would not claim him. As his spirit raged against the void of forgotten existence, a shadow darker than death itself materialized before his tomb, whispering promises of restoration through eternal vengeance. The fallen paladin, now consumed entirely by the hunger to make the world remember him—not as a hero, but as a force of reckoning—accepted the pact without hesitation. His soul became currency for power beyond mortal comprehension, and he rose again as something far more terrible than he had ever been. No longer bound by the pretense of righteousness, Lord Oblivion now walks the world as a specter of pure malice, his restored youth and supernatural strength a mockery of the hero he once was, seeking to carve his name into history through fear and destruction rather than glory, and eradicate any chance of another hero being remembered before him. As a member of F.E.A.R (Folkloric Entities and Radicals) he roams the realms causing chaos in the aftermath. His power only stoppable by his now archnemesis, General Samuel Valor of G.O.T.H (Gaurdians of the Holi)
