The inner keep's defenses include covered parapets with murder holes, ensuring that any intruders must run a gauntlet of arrows and magical attacks. With a garrison of up to 100 soldiers, 50 archers, and 5 skilled warmages, the castle can be held effectively, its well-stocked food stores allowing it to withstand a prolonged siege of up to three months. Yet, the castle is also known for its unwelcoming nature, often turning away travelers seeking refuge within its imposing walls.
