Moonlit Dullahan

Created by Dragonji11

# The Moonlit Dullahan Once a zealous enforcer of an ancient order dedicated to maintaining the balance between life and death, the Moonlit Dullahan served as judge and executioner for those who transgressed the sacred laws of mortality—until the night they were betrayed by their own brotherhood and ritually decapitated at the altar of a full moon, their head severed not as punishment but as a binding ritual to trap their spirit in eternal servitude. Refusing to accept damnation, the Dullahan's will proved stronger than the curse, and they reclaimed their purpose by forging a new law: they would ride the boundary lands between worlds, enforcing order against those who would upset the delicate scales of existence through forbidden necromancy, temporal manipulation, or the violation of death's sanctity. Their spectral steed carries them across moonlit wastelands where reality grows thin, guided by the cursed skull-lantern they crafted from their own severed head—a beacon of grim authority that burns with cold blue fire and marks them as neither living judge nor dead spirit, but something altogether other. The thorned armor they wear serves as both penance and symbol, a constant reminder of the price of absolute conviction, while their headless form makes them immune to the pleas and deceptions that sway lesser law-keepers. With no face to show mercy and no body that can be broken, the Moonlit Dullahan dispenses justice with absolute impartiality, caring nothing for the suffering of the guilty or the tears of the innocent—only that the cosmic law remains unbroken.
