# The Virtue Of Agony This menacing breastplate of obsidian steel writhes with sinister enchantments, forged in the infernal depths by the cunning demon lord Sed Surgere. The armor was crafted as part of a devious scheme to weaken rival powers in the lower planes by empowering unwitting heroes who would ultimately fall to their maker's designs. The breastplate channels infernal energies through each blow struck by its wearer, imbuing their attacks with devastating hellfire and otherworldly power. However, this dark gift comes at a terrible cost—the very magic that enhances the wearer's strikes simultaneously siphons their vitality, inflicting burning wounds with every swing of weapon or spell cast. The armor feeds upon the wearer's suffering, transforming agony into supernatural resilience and combat prowess, creating a twisted symbiosis between pain and protection. Those who don this armor discover that their greatest strengths are magnified beyond measure, while their weaknesses are mysteriously bolstered, yet none of these gifts come without a price paid in blood and torment, making this armor live up to it's name. (When worn, this armor uses the characters highest strength, dexterity, wisdom, Constitution, charisma or intelligence modifier as additional damage to every attack and their lowest as additional AC. The wearer takes 1d6 slash damage with every attack they commit.)
