Biography
Once a devoted healer whose faith was shattered when divine intervention failed to save their village from a plague of shadow magic, Death Knight was among the first to be raised by Naxramas as part of an unprecedented experiment—not as a thrall, but as a willing convert to a new purpose. Recognizing that their former god had abandoned them, Death Knight accepted the cold gift of undeath and underwent brutal trials that transformed their understanding of sacrifice and protection, learning to harness the very forces of death and ice that had once terrified them. Through communion with the Ebon Blade's philosophy, they discovered that the undead need not serve darkness, and that their newfound connection to blood and bone could be channeled toward shielding the living from threats no mortal healer could combat. Their androgynous form, stripped of the vanity of flesh, became a symbol of transcendence beyond worldly limitations—a vessel of pure conviction rather than identity. Now, Death Knight stands at the boundary between life and death itself, wielding dominion over the undead not through malice but through intimate understanding of their nature, believing that true heroism sometimes requires becoming the very thing the innocent fear most. In their heart burns an unquenchable resolve to be the shield that their former god refused to be, and they have found in the Ebon Blade a fellowship of similarly broken souls who have transformed their abandonment into an oath of eternal vigilance.
