Their Majesties Luka And Zaira Borbón

Born into a world fractured by grief and political upheaval, Their Majesties Luka and Zaira Borbón represent the fragile hope of a divided empire struggling to survive the devastating aftermath of the Blighted Vanguard's invasion of Europe, which severed contacts between Europe and the colonies on the other side of the oceans. When Emperor Carlos perished during his desperate expedition to reconnect with the South American colonies, the delicate balance between the Spanish and Portuguese crowns who were united in the Iberian Oversea Empire, threatened to collapse into civil war, until the cunning Regent Fernando orchestrated a marriage between the young Spanish prince and the Portuguese princess—a union meant to bind two nations back together with threads of familial love rather than conquest and bloodshed. Neither child possessed the seasoned wisdom or political acumen required to navigate the treacherous waters of imperial governance, yet their very presence became an anchor for their suffering peoples, a living symbol that unity was possible even in humanity's darkest hour. Young Luka, with his striking crimson hair and fierce green eyes, carries the weight of his father's legacy and the expectations of a nation desperate for stability, while delicate Zaira, her blonde locks and violet eyes reflecting both nobility and vulnerability, holds within her the hopes of Portugal's ancient crown. Together they lean on one another and place their complete faith in the wise guidance of Regent Fernando, who has become both mentor and father figure to the pair, teaching them that true strength lies not in individual power but in the bonds forged between people. In their innocent embrace lies the redemption of an empire, and in their willingness to learn, the possibility of a brighter future for all those who have suffered through the endless night of invasion and loss.
