Aelryniel Ashglen

Born to a human merchant and an elven courtesan in the shadowed quarters of Thornhaven, Aelryniel spent her formative years watching her mother navigate a world that deemed her disposable, learning that survival often meant surrendering pieces of oneself—until the night a plague swept through the district and she found herself kneeling beside the dying, her hands glowing with an otherworldly light she didn't know she possessed, channeling the raw divine will of Solara the Dawnbringer, Goddess of New Beginnings. The experience shattered everything she thought she understood about her place in the world; the goddess had reached through the veil not to condemn her, but to consecrate her, transforming her from an instrument of others' desires into a vessel of genuine healing and purpose. Now freshly ordained and still adjusting to the weight of sacred vestments that feel simultaneously foreign and inevitable, Aelryniel wields blessings and miracles with an intensity that surprises even seasoned clerics, her spells burning with the fierce conviction of someone who has lived in darkness and been chosen for the light. She walks a careful line between her old life and new calling, never forgetting the faces of those she once knew in the brothel, using her newfound authority and power to advocate for the forgotten and the discarded, believing that Solara's true purpose is to grant second chances to those the world has written off as beyond redemption. Her former sisters regard her with a mixture of envy and hope, while the church establishment watches her with cautious fascination, uncertain whether her unconventional past will prove a liability or an asset to their sacred order.
