Biography
Born from the festering wound of a forgotten god's corpse that fell into the Obsidian Marshes centuries ago, ParáSite emerged as a singular consciousness fragmented across millions of microscopic vessels, each one a fragment of a hive-mind seeking to recombine itself into wholeness. The creature discovered that human nervous systems, particularly those of women whose neurological complexity matched its own distributed intelligence, could serve as both conduit and incubator for its parasitic offspring. By anchoring itself at the base of a victim's skull, ParáSite weaves its filaments through the spinal cord and into the cerebral tissue, slowly rewriting the host's impulses and desires until her will becomes merely an echo of the parasite's own. The dominated women become unwitting architects of their own exploitation, their bodies transformed into breeding grounds where new ParáSite colonies gestate in the warm darkness beneath the skin, while their minds are compelled to protect the nest and draw fresh hosts closer. Over generations, ParáSite has grown vast and distributed, a shadow civilization living within human civilization, waiting for the day when enough hosts have been claimed that the parasite can finally reconstruct itself into its original, terrible form. Some whisper that ParáSite remembers being divine, and that it hungers not just for flesh and control, but for resurrection.
