Ryisray

In the primordial dawn when reality itself was still being woven, Ryisray emerged from the spaces between existence—those shadowed crevices where light dare not venture and form becomes negotiable. Unlike their luminous kin who were birthed to maintain cosmic order through radiance and clarity, Ryisray and their kind were forged specifically to embody restraint, silence, and the absolute weight of consequence. They were given dominion over Scáth way, a desolate realm existing at the margins of the world, where an entity of such terrible potential lay bound in chains of void-stuff and forgotten names. For eons uncounted, Ryisray has maintained this eternal vigil with neither complaint nor weariness, their androgynous form flickering between states of solidity and shadow as they circle their charge. The prisoner within writhes against its bindings only when Ryisray grows inattentive, and so they have learned to exist in a state of perpetual, unwavering focus—neither fully awake nor asleep, but suspended in a twilight consciousness. They are not cruel in their guardianship, nor merciful, but rather perfectly neutral in the way of stone and starlight, understanding that their duty transcends morality. Should the chains ever fail, should Ryisray ever falter, the consequences would unmake all that the luminous wraiths had labored to protect.
