Spell

Moonbane Lantern

Created by Draz

This enchantment transforms any nearby light source within 30 feet, suffusing it with arcane power that persists for one hour. Under the spell's effect, all non-human creatures become visibly marked by a crimson aura, making them unmistakably distinct to those who gaze upon the illuminated area. Originally conceived as a defensive measure for the citizens of Rosiskar during the dark occupation of the vampire tyrant Lady Moriah Morrigan, when werewolves and undead legions terrorized the city streets, the spell proved instrumental in survival and resistance. However, since Moriah's downfall and the establishment of the Dawn of Rosiskar as the city's ruling military force, the enchantment has become a weapon of persecution rather than protection. What was once a tool for identifying genuine threats has transformed into an instrument of oppression, turning neighbor against neighbor in a bitter conflict that tears the city apart. The spell now hunts not only the remnants of Moriah's dark servants but also the countless half-breeds born from decades of forced unions, as well as peaceful nocturnal creatures seeking only to live within the city walls of Rosiskar, many which helped the rebellions against Moriah's forces over the years.
