For centuries, she watched over the delicate balance between growth and decay, understanding that preservation required more than mere vigilance—it demanded compassion, patience, and the wisdom to know when to intervene and when to allow nature's own course. The elves built their civilization around her sanctuary, regarding her not as a deity to be feared but as a benevolent elder whose gentle guidance ensured their survival and prosperity. When Yūjin Shinrinryū first entered her forest with neither conquest nor ambition in his heart, Midoriryū recognized something she had not encountered in generations: a soul whose reverence for life transcended the boundaries between worlds.
