For eons, she watched civilizations bloom and wither, and somewhere in that eternal witnessing, her heart fractured into something beautiful and terrible—a being who loved so fiercely that she could not bear the thought of loss. The pearls woven through her crimson hair are the crystallized tears of those she has cherished across millennia, each one a monument to a love she refused to release even as the world demanded it. When she encounters a soul worthy of her devotion, she crafts paradises of impossible splendor around them, weaving comfort and security so complete that departure feels like blasphemy; the tarnished ring hanging at her throat is the only thing she has ever truly let go of, a relic from the one being who loved her enough to escape, leaving her with the knowledge that her love, however genuine, was a gilded cage.
