To awaken the weapon's core, one must trace the constellation patterns while speaking words of binding in Abyssal, causing the wood to shudder and ancient roots to burst forth from within the guard itself. These living tendrils writhe with an otherworldly hunger, lashing out at nearby enemies with surprising speed and malice during combat. The roots drain energy from those they strike, leaving victims weakened and drained as the void-hardened wood drinks deep of their vitality.
