Shock Arrow

Created by AstridRaven55

Shock Arrow This projectile is crafted with a crystalline thundergem carefully shaped into a razor-sharp arrowhead. The gem pulses with barely-contained electrical energy, humming faintly when held. Upon striking a target, the brittle gemstone fractures from the impact, detonating in a violent burst of lightning that radiates outward in all directions. All creatures within 10 feet of the point of impact must make a Dexterity saving throw or take 1d8 lightning damage. The arrow itself is destroyed in this process, making each shot a one-time use of its destructive potential. These arrows are highly prized by rangers and archers who specialize in area control, though their cost and rarity make them valuable enough to recover when possible.
