8 Of Spades

Created by SecretSage881

This spectral playing card materializes only for those who have crossed into the Borderlands—a realm between life and death where souls compete for escape or dominion. The card depicts eight spades arranged in an intricate pattern surrounding a twisting labyrinth that seems to shift and writhe when observed closely. Those who possess this card are bound to participate in "Lost Without Me," a perilous game of coordination and cunning where half the players are trapped within an ever-contracting maze while the other half search desperately from without to locate its hidden entrance and exit. The two teams must unite and navigate to freedom before the maze's walls inexorably close inward, crushing anything that remains in their path. Only those swift enough to escape the collapsing corridors receive a survivor's mark—a grim testament to their wit and fortune. The unlucky who fall to the maze's crushing embrace become one with its stone, their fates sealed eternally within the Borderlands. Possession of this card grants the bearer knowledge of the maze's secrets, though whether this is blessing or curse remains unclear.
