Tokihiro'S Legion

Born into the shadow-work caste of Shogun Torri's sprawling palace complex, this operative was identified early for his preternatural grace and ability to move unseen through the labyrinthine corridors of power, eventually earning a place within Tokihiro's Legion—the thirty thousand elite warriors now marshaled against the supernatural incursion threatening the realm's stability. Trained in the silent arts of infiltration and precision strikes, he serves as one of the shadow corps, tasked with gathering intelligence on the boundary between the material world and the domains of oni and yokai, where the veil between realms grows dangerously thin. His unwavering adherence to the military code and the structured hierarchy of the shogunate keeps him grounded amidst the chaos of supernatural warfare, where lesser soldiers have succumbed to madness or despair. Through countless covert operations on the contested battlefields, he has learned to move between warring factions of demons and spirits with calculated precision, exploiting their conflicts for strategic advantage. His loyalty remains absolute to the Legion and its mission, though he harbors quiet doubts about whether mortal steel and discipline alone can truly prevail against entities born of pure malice and ancient magic. Each night spent in the blood-soaked borderlands tests his convictions, yet he continues forward with the grim certainty that duty demands sacrifice, regardless of the cost.
