Character
Fonmael Of Vekk
Created by JackCarrotFonmael of Vekk was once a devoted cleric of the Temple of Eternal Light, his scholarly mind dedicated to translating ancient religious texts and serving as the spiritual counselor to Vekk's noble families. During his research into forbidden archives, he discovered evidence that the church's most sacred doctrines were deliberate fabrications—constructed centuries ago by corrupt priesthoods to consolidate power and subjugate the common people. Rather than report his findings, Fonmael spent years meticulously documenting the conspiracy, all while maintaining his public piety and wearing the silver holy symbol as a mask of legitimacy. When he finally attempted to expose the truth to the church's hierarchy, he was silenced through political maneuvering and his research was destroyed, leaving him branded a heretic in private councils while remaining publicly untouched. The betrayal transformed him into something far darker than a mere skeptic; Fonmael now uses his scholarly brilliance and ecclesiastical position to manipulate believers and undermine the church from within, orchestrating subtle corruptions and theological perversions as instruments of calculated revenge. He has become convinced that if faith itself is a lie, then all moral constraints are equally illusory, freeing him to pursue his vendettas with methodical precision and elegant cruelty.
