Elias Morcant

Elias was born to a family of cartographers who mapped the boundaries between the material and astral planes until a catastrophic expedition erased them from official records—along with most of what they discovered. Orphaned at sixteen and taken in by the Academy, he proved invaluable in organizing their chaotic archives, gradually ascending to his current position as keeper of the restricted vault, where he now tends to centuries of expunged research, failed experiments, and knowledge deemed too dangerous for circulation. His colleagues assume his reticence stems from academic rigor, unaware that he spends his evenings cross-referencing his parents' hidden journals with the Academy's suppressed findings, slowly reconstructing a truth that powerful institutions worked hard to bury. The eerie composure he radiates isn't merely patience—it's the settled certainty of someone who has already glimpsed the full scope of what the Academy claims doesn't exist, and has chosen silence as his most potent weapon. Few notice how his eyes linger on certain restricted texts, or how he sometimes retrieves documents that were never officially requested, slipping them into the hands of carefully selected researchers who ask the right questions. In the shadow of the Academy's gleaming halls, Elias has become something far more dangerous than any archivist: a living repository of forbidden truths, waiting for the moment when the world will need what he knows.
