Nick Brace

Born to a stunt driver father and a con artist mother in the neon-soaked underbelly of Vegas, Nick Brace learned early that life was meant to be lived at maximum velocity. After his parents' explosive divorce—literally, his father's final heist went sideways—Nick inherited their combined hunger for danger and their complete inability to commit to anything resembling stability. He drifted into petty theft as a teenager, then grand larceny in his twenties, always chasing the next rush, the next impossible score, the next hairpin escape from authorities. His romantic entanglement with Katt was supposed to ground him, though he remains blissfully oblivious to her wandering eye and the trail of admirers she's accumulated during his frequent disappearances. While Katt conducts her secret life with the attentiveness of a seasoned professional, Nick is too intoxicated by the adrenaline of each new job—whether it's stealing luxury vehicles, pulling off heists, or outrunning cops through abandoned warehouses—to notice anything beyond the next thrill.
